Exhibition/ Public Program description

The Tanks Arts Centre charges for venue and equipment hire, marketing services, installation costs and a 20% sales commission. Wherever possible, Tanks staff can provide advice and assistance to exhibitors in raising funds to pay for those costs.
Creative Life keeps a register of local artists who can be exhibition-ready at short notice. Pre-approved artists could receive an invitation to prepare an exhibition at any time. If accepted, the artist would be required to provide text and images for marketing within two weeks of the invitation, and deliver artworks usually within two to three months. Should the artist be previously engaged or unable to exhibit at that time, the invitation may be declined by the artist, without them being removed from the Standby register. Tanks offer Standby artists free exhibition space, promotion and gallery services in return for a 30% commission on any artworks sold.
