Workshops hosted at the Tanks Arts Centre play a vital role in enriching the centre’s diverse public program. Spanning visual and performing arts, film, music, and beyond, each workshop is an integral part of the Tanks family and its unique brand.

Tanks Arts Centre Workshop applications will be assessed individually, based on the following criteria;

Meets identified or perceived needs of local community, and the potential benefits and outcomes presented by the workshop/s
A workshop program that promotes artistic excellence (where arts related)
Delivering a diverse workshop program
An inclusive workshop program which caters for diverse ideas, perspectives, experiences, and beliefs
An Accessible workshop program for our local community
Our workshop program will enhance Cairns' reputation as Northern Australia's Arts and Cultural Capital
Access and availability to the requested spaces/assets
Workshop program considered to a maximum 12 weeks in advance

Cairns Regional Council requires public liability insurance for all workshops held at the Tanks Arts Centre with a minimum cover of $20 million.
