Learn how to tell a story in a single panel - Focus on images, cartoons, and illustrations that tell a whole story with a single frame. Kids will learn how to plan a big sketch with small thumbnail sketches and how to design a cartoon to allow for captions and speech bubbles.
This will get the kids used to drafting different approaches for telling the same story visually. While the younger kids will intuitively leave room for speech and captions, this lesson will teach the older kids how to add them to their planning. At the end of the workshop you will be able to make a singl e panel cartoon!
Pencils, pens, and paper will be provided, however kids welcome to bring their own stationery or iPads if they prefer to draw that way
This workshop is for kids age 13 -17 years old.
