Stallholder Application 2025: Tanks Markets and Carnival on Collins

This application is to be used for all stallholders.  In order to be considered in the initial stallholder intake Annual Applications must be submitted by 31 January 2025 and Carnival on Collins Applications must be submitted by 31 May 2025.

Annual stallholders will be expected to attend all Tanks Markets and Carnival on Collins on the following dates:

  • 27 April

  • 25 May

  • 29 June

  • 27 July

  • 7 September (Carnival on Collins)

  • 28 September

  • 26 October

  • 30 November

If you are unable to attend all Tanks Markets and Carnival on Collins please apply for a casual stall.  Casual stallholder applications are considered on a wait-list basis and are subject to availability.

Key Application Dates:

Annual applications submitted prior to 31 January 2025 will be notified of the application outcome by 28 February 2025 with annual payments then due on the 31 March 2025.

Carnival on Collins applications submitted prior to 31 May 2025 will be notified of the application outcome by 30 June 2025 with payments then due on the 31 July 2025.

Late submissions and casual applications will be contacted prior to the market date subject to site availability.

Preference is given to annual stallholder applications. Casual stallholder applications are considered on a wait-list basis and are subject to availability. Market sites do not allow for space between stallholders so please consider the entire space you require. Access to power is limited and cannot be guarenteed.

Inclusive of all infrastructure (eg changeroom), truck/trailer & inclusive of towbar and all accessible doors/ramps.

Not-for-profit organisations

Council provides the opportunity to assist community groups and organisations develop social cohesion and connection in the Cairns Region by offering complimentary stalls at the regular Tanks Markets and Carnival on Collins. Complimentary stalls are offered to not-for-profit organisations with a limited amount of stalls available at each Market.  

A not-for-profit organisation is defined as:

‘Any local organisation club, state or national organisation, who holds incorporated status under the Associations Incorporations Act 1981, or is a company limited by guarantee under the Corporations Act 2001, and does not operate for the profit or gain (either direct or indirect), of its individual members, either from ongoing operations or on its winding up.’
